My initial idea, the bottom photo, was a 'Last of Us' based idea, where the character was at the end of his rope, his food and water were gone, represented by the empty bottle and can by his feet, his body position is that of someone giving up and his bag/clothes are torn and battered. The wall would be damaged and weathered and roots and weeds would be growing up through the ground. But fabric would be a struggle for me to model as i've never done it, so i came up with the second idea, a robot, also at the end of it's rope. It would be battle scarred and injured, but a very friendly looking robot so not a soldier...from this idea i thought about something wearing Armour and being injured, and from that idea, i thought about using a Storm Trooper/Soldier. I can still use the idea of desperation, but can also tell the story of a soldier who isn't giving up, but has already died. That and i don't have to model clothes...
